Your pets' dental health is vital to his or her overall wellness and longevity. Pets that do not receive proper dental care are at an increased risk for:
Regular at-home dental care should be coupled with regular dental screenings and exams to protect your pets oral hygiene and to reduce the risk of periodontal (dental) disease.
At all Creatures Animal Hospital, we believe that prevention is key to protecting your pet from a diseased mouth.
We recommend that a full dental exam should be done annually. This preventative care, in addition to regular at-home brushings, will allow us to detect any potential problems before they become an issue and help to protect your pet from periodontal disease and the long-lasting effects it can have on your pets overall wellbeing.
Should a problem be detected, we are fully equipped to perform extractions or minor surgery, but it is our goal to stop these situations before they ever start.
