• Dr. Michael Akins

  Dr. Mike’s interest in veterinary medicine stemmed from involvement in the Junior Zoologist’s Club at the Cincinnati Zoo where he volunteered and worked from junior high through undergraduate school. He graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and from Tuskegee University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Along with his wife Dr. Karolyn Akins, he established All Creatures Animal Hospital in 1991. Passionate about enhancing the human-animal bond, Dr. Mike has spent over 30 years focused on helping pets to live longer and healthier lives through advocating for their needs and educating pet parents. Delivering high quality medicine and exceptional client service have always been a central focus, as evidenced by the hospital being accredited through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
  Dr Mike and Dr Karolyn have been married for over 40 years and have 2 sons whom they adore. They also share their home with several cats, a dog, and a few birds. Personal fitness and gardening are his favorite activities after caring for pets and spending time with his family.
 

   Practice Manager

• Catherine Day

  Catherine started her career path in July 2003, starting out as a receptionist for a Vet Clinic. Working her way up to Practice Manager by 2008.

  She is a proud owner of 2 spoiled German Shephard’s she rescued, who are enjoying every moment of living happy and healthy lives.

  Catherine’s goals are to make sure the practice moves forward in an ever-changing world with building on the teams already amazing staff and compassion. She is trained on many levels and able to step into any role and lend a hand where necessary in making sure each day runs as smooth as possible.

• Audris, RVT

  Audris has been a member of the ACAH team since 2015. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and co-leader of the medical team which consists of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. Audris gives her all to each patient, putting her heart and soul into providing them the best care possible. She is very dedicated in her role as a leader and holds the team accountable for high standards of performance. She is also passionate about client education and continually works to keep up with the changing field of veterinary medicine. Our team would be lost without Audris's commitment to excellence.

• Kim, RVT

  Since 2016, ACAH has been fortunate to have Kim as a member of our team. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and co-leader of the medical team which consists of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. Kim is very compassionate, empathetic, and excels at remaining calm under pressure. She is excellent at communicating with clients and puts the needs of her patients above her own. Her drive to continually learn and improve sets expectations for the rest of the team to do the same. Kim is an integral part of our team with her stellar professionalism and 100% focus on patient and client needs, each and every day.

• Ali

  Ali joined All Creatures Animal Hospital in 2014. She is currently a Veterinary Assistant and is in the process of finishing up schooling and training to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. We’re proud of the progress she has made in furthering her skills and education. She is very caring and considerate of her patients and always ready to lend a helping hand. Our whole team relies on her dependability and consistency. We look forward to seeing her grow as a Technician in the coming years!

• Monique

  In March 2020, Monique joined our team as a Veterinary Receptionist where she quickly excelled due to her attention to detail and exceptional communication skills. She moved into a Veterinary Assistant role the summer of 2021 because her true passion is in the medicine and patient care. Self-motivated and eager to learn, she is already starting her journey towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Driven to pursue growth and education, Monique is a versatile and valuable member of our team with a unique perspective on both the client and patient experience at our hospital.

• Jasmine

  Jasmine joined the ACAH team in February 2020 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is a fast learner and has a great deal of love for animals. She has an impressive mastery of some technical skills and is educating herself to help more every day. Jasmine is very knowledgeable about puppy care and does a great job with education for new puppy owners.

• Elliot

  Elliot joined the ACAH team in December 2018 and has been providing compassionate care during boarding ever since. His main priority is to ensure pets have a comfortable stay away from home. We can always depend on Elliot to provide everything boarding pets need and bring any concerns to the attention of the medical team so it can quickly be handled. He is very adept at handling all the responsibilities of the kennel area and is a great team player!
