Cat Care

Our vets here are All Creatures have found that dogs are brought in for preventative wellness care services at a higher frequency than cats. It is important that cats are given the medical and preventative wellness services yearly so that they may have a long and healthy life.

Preventative Wellness Care services or visits are when a pet comes in for an exam when they are not sick or hurt in order to perform a general checkup. These visits are very important for the wellness of your pet. They provide us the basic state of your pet’s general health and well-being so that if your pet does have to come in for an illness or injury, we have information for comparing your pet’s normal well-being versus their state of well-being while ill or injured.

Preventative Wellness Care includes the following services:

  • Yearly Exam & Semi-Annual Exam (6 months after yearly)
  • Preventative Medications for Fleas, Ticks, and Heartworm
  • Dental Care
  • Nutritional Care
Check out our Dog & Cat Services for more information or check out additional resources below!

We also recommend yearly testing and vaccinations. For detailed info, follow these links:

During a Yearly or Semi-Annual Exam, the doctor is physically checking from nose to tail if there are signs of any medical issues or concerns. They will check teeth to look for tarter or plaque build-up, as well as other teeth issues such as broken teeth or baby teeth that may need to be removed by doing a dental procedure under anesthesia. We will discuss Neuter & Spay options during these visits or determine any other wellness services your pet may need depending on their age, health, and well-being. The visits are catered towards the different stages of your pet’s life.

We consider cats to have four main life stages: Kitten, Adolescent, Adult, and Senior There are different services or labs we recommend that are appropriate for their specific life stage.
