All Creatures Animal Hospital offers boarding services for both medical stays and for our clients needing a safe place for their pets to stay while they are away. Our boarding services welcome creatures great and small, including: cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, lizards, snakes, and other exotic pets (even hermit crabs).
Our boarding guests are housed in our air-conditioned medical kennels and runs. Our kennel staff provide our guests with the care they need throughout their stay including: clean accommodations, feeding as you instruct, continuous access to fresh water, and monitoring for signs of illness or distress during their stay. For safety reasons, we do not house family members together, but we are happy to house them within sight of each other and walk them together (depending on size or number of family members).
For the safety of our team, we cannot board dogs that are being fed a raw diet. We can board dogs being fed Freshpet or Farmers Dog diets.
We request that you leave your pet's belongings, such as beds and toys, at home to prevent damage or loss of items. Pets are sometimes moved to new spots so cleaning can be performed and their belongings don't always follow them. If you choose to leave items, our team cannot guarantee their safe return.
For our reptile visitors, please bring their protein source from home (crickets, mealworms, etc). We are able to provide veggies for their stay but do not have protein sources on hand.
Our medical staff are available during normal business hours to attend to our boarding guests.
If your pet requires administration of medications, we are able to do so as prescribed on the labels for a small fee. Please bring your pet's medications in the original container to ensure accurate administration. If the medication was prescribed by another facility, we require the medical records in order to give these medications. This provides us necessary information to monitor your pet's condition and any issues that arise during their stay with us.
We are also able to attend to medical care needs outside of medication administration for an additional hospitalized boarding fee.
You can take advantage of your pet's boarding stay to have any preventative wellness care services performed, such as their Yearly Wellness Exam, vaccines, or lab tests. Boarding stays are also a good time to have a needed surgery done so we can manage their recovery after the procedure.
Another advantage of boarding your pet at a medical facility is that we can attend to any issues that may arise during their stay, such as diarrhea, without having to transport your pet elsewhere for care. We stay in contact with you about any concerns and can begin any new treatments while they are still boarding.
Required Vaccinations for Bathing, Grooming, or Boarding
We require all pets to be current on the following vaccinations for these types of visits (vaccines can be done at arrival if needed):
Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella
Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia
Birds: Polyoma
Ferrets: Rabies
All dogs and cats must be current on their flea prevention. If they are not, we can administer a product at arrival that works for 24 hours, 30 days, or 12 weeks for a fee.
If you would like other information about boarding your pet, please email us at staff@allcreaturesanimalhospital.com or call 770-393-3400 during normal business hours.
